Postvention
The suicide death of a warrior can have a profound impact on family and friends
as well as fellow warriors, unit commanders and first responders. Since knowing
someone who has died by suicide is one of the highest risk factors for suicide,
taking steps to reduce risk and promote healing (postvention) becomes an integral
part of suicide prevention efforts.
Connect Postvention training will teach participants about memorial services, military and civilian resources and support and how to provide an integrated response to a suicide death.
